In this world of ours, we search for heroes or want to be one of them. In the story of Iliad and Odyssey, I think people nowadays can’t be qualified for there is a formula that enables to be called such. Let me enumerate them.

                Immeasurable Strength, the most common quality of a hero have. Superman, Hulk Captain America and others are great example of it. Being strong is an ace for a hero; if you possess this many shall fear to combat against you. But being strong isn’t enough to be called a hero. What is the sense of your strength if you’re just helping your wife to earn for living? Of course you must become warrior not just the lame one who is just guarding the entrance of the palace, warrior who goes to battlefield and fight for his kingdom.

                Wise and good in forming Strategy, only few warriors possess these characteristics. Having those two is tantamount to halfway on winning the war that’s why it is really important. Sad to say but Achaeans will never consider you as true hero if you didn’t win the war. Being able to bring victory to kingdom completes the tittle of a hero.

                Speaking of a hero, is someone destined to be such? I do believe that fate doesn’t control our lives also people can’t determine their future.

                Somehow if we do something to fulfill or accomplish what we want, not an assurance but there would be a great probability that it will happen. Like both story of Achilles and Odysseus, they show perseverance and courage in doing what they want. That’s why I guess the gods interfere for their fate.

                In short no one knows his/her future except the most powerful one.  Future makes one’s life challenging and exciting; without it our lives might be humdrum. All of us aim for bright future but then you can’t stop facing problems soon. Along the way you would grow and it will make you realize that you’re a hero of your own story. A strong one to face the challenges, a warrior that never gives up, making wise decisions to overcome the hurdles in life and to win against the bitterness of life to achieve the bright future.
